The " Three benefits" of Scotch Guarding your newly Steam Cleaned Carpets!

Most people know that when you buy new Carpet it comes with Scotch guarding. Did you know that, that's what Stainmaster
is?  It's just professional grade protectant applied, - or Scotch Guarding folks.
When ever you have your carpets cleaned, the cleaning process (steam cleaning) removes the Scotch guarding. It must be reapplied. Other ways your Scotch guarding wears away is through time and by the abrasiveness of dirt working in your carpets.

The 3 main ways Scotch Guarding helps:

1.  Basic Household Dust
When your Carpets are Scotch Guarded, your basic household dust never gets a chance to
work down into your carpets and become long term, or permanent dirt. Keep your carpet
vacuumed and you will not need to have it professionally cleaned as often. Here is a link to some
great tips on vacuuming your house. Pro-tips-on-cleaning-your-carpet!
Another factor in keeping your carpets clean, is to clean the Hvac ventilation system.

2.  Spills
Helps delay the absorption of spills and accidents of solids and liquids into the carpet, and
allows them to be blotted up before they become permanent stains.

3.  Stains
Helps stains, spots, and traffic dirt to release more easily when you do, have your carpets
     professionally cleaned.

Scotch guard should always be raked in. At Mr. Carpet Steam it always will be.
